Guy claims 6 Gold Cups in a row

Lincolnshire’s Guy Martin took a record sixth Gold Cup victory in a row on Sunday.

Guy, on board his Hydrex Bike Animal Honda, took an impressive victory in Sunday’s 12 lap Gold Cup feature race at Scarborough’s famous Olivers Mount Road Race Circuit.

In front of a large crowd and in great weather conditions all weekend, he crossed the finish line an impressive 13 secounds in front of a star studded line up of road race competitiors.

John McGuinness didn’t have a superbike at Scarborough but won the David Jefferies Trophy in the 600cc race on his Padgetts Honda CBR. William Dunlop took the victory in the 250cc catagory to win the Lee Pullan Trophy.
