Brit marshals at the Assen WSB

Just thought I would let you know that a contingent of british marshals worked at WSBK assen at the weekend. Myself and Tony Wakeham took over 8 marshals from newcastle (their 1st time). We were spread out on various posts around the circuit and were treated very well by our dutch collegues….

And the racing? Wow, absolutely awesome! We ventured down to pit lane late sunday nite and had a chat with a lot of teams and riders (Haga pictured with myself and tony) and had a 15-20 min chat with Ron Haslam who was over the moon with Leon’s 2 podiums as we were… you can’t beat a world superbike event.

It is the best all round motorsport entertainment package in the world….. And what a shock – the boys from newcastle want to go back…. brilliant!
