Chaz Davies will continue his partnership with the BE1 Triumph team in 2011 after signing a further one year deal with the Italian team. Since returning from America to compete on the World scene, Davies has established himself as one of the front runners in the class and currently holds fourth in the overall championship standings with three podiums to his credit.

Speaking to MCN, Davies said: “ It’s going to be good to spend the second year with the same bike and team, the last time I had that sort of continuity was the 2004 and 2005 seasons in 250GP’s.”

During the 2010 season, Davies has been competitive at the majority of tracks, but at times has struggled to match the pace of his 600cc four cylinder rivals onboard the three cylinder 675cc Triumph.

He said: “Our aim for next year is to be more consistent. There have been times where we’ve been 25 seconds off the win even though I’ve ridden every bit as hard as when I’ve been on the podium. I want to be able to challenge for wins at every race.”

Davies will be joined by fast Italian and current Supersonic Ducati rider Luca Scassa with the team reducing from it’s current four rider set-up to a more targeted two man squad.
