Jonathan Rea has ended speculation about his MotoGP or WSB future by re-signing for the Castrol Honda squad to race in WSB in 2012.

The 24 year old Brit signed a new contract at 11pm on Friday evening with the deal set to be announced to the world in a press conference later today.

Rea who has had his 2011 season wrecked by injury is convinced that he will have a more competitive bike for 2012 thanks to the new model Honda Fireblade along with upgraded electronics and suspension.

Speaking exclusively to MCN, Rea said: “I’m putting my faith in Honda for next year. It’s a great team that I really feel part of and we all know what needs to happen to get us back to the front of WSB and the cogs are turning.”
