Aitchison back in WSB with Effenbert Ducati

Mark Aitchison will make a return to the WSB paddock in 2013, alongside the returning Effenbert Team, which had an incident-laden 2012 season.

Despite the Ducati 1098’s homologation now expired due to the arrival of the 1199 Panigale, the team have been given late dispensation allowing the 1098R to return to battle once more.

Aitchison, was set to race in BSB with the Spitlath Redmond Aprilia team up until their last minute demise saw the Australian left high and dry.

He said: “I flew in from Australia one day and signed the contract the next day. We will not be able to get any testing in, so the first two races will be like testing for us.”
