Q. My Honda Hornet 600 has racked up 10,000 miles on the standard shock and it’s starting to feel a bit tired.

Would I be best off replacing the shock completely with a better one from a company like Hagon, or would it be cheaper for me to refurbish the standard shock?
James, email.

A. Hagon offer a ‘special-build’ option tailored to your weight and the type of riding that you do, or you can go for a standard shock. The standard costs £275 all in, while the special-build you need is £325.

With such a small difference between the two, we’d recommend the custom option. Hagon are on: 0208-502-6222.
