Riders for Health has signed the first ever agreement for a non-governmental organisation to manage medical transportation in an African country.

The UK Charity of the Year has signed the agreement with the government of Gambia, stating that Riders for Health will manage all the Department of State for Health vehicles.

Riders for Health was founded in 1989 by members of the motorcycle community to try to solve the transportation problems of medical services in remote parts of Africa.
