Your most magical motorcycling moments of the year have already started coming in. This one from Richard Halford is a great example.

” First track day, first time knee down, wore out a set of sliders in one track day and put a hole in my leather trollies (I had the slider just slightly in the wrong place).

” I had to swap the sliders from one knee to the other, then turn it upside down. Ruined my toe sliders too. Awesome fun. And I kept overtaking faster/newer bikes on my old and little FZR400. I was in the Novice group though. ”

Whether it is cresting the Alps after an hour of horseshoe bends, cracking your ” perfect ” lap on a sweltering track day, throwing your leg over your first ever brand new bike… these are all the kinds of moments of magic which make our motorcycling memories.

We’d like you to tell us your personal favourite motorcycling moment of the year. It could be one you shared with thousands of others, such as cheering the Brits home at Brands. It could be unique and personal, but something every fellow rider will understand.

Here’s another one we’ve received already. This is from Debbie Ralph: ” I married my ‘biker’ in 2000 after some 13 years together during which time I had been subjected to various motorcycle rallies (including Crazy Days, Rock & Blues, South West, Kent Custom Bike Show), various track days at Brands Hatch and the TT (I was threatened with this as my honeymoon!)

” However, about two weeks before my first anniversary I was surprised with a week’s package to Malaga in Spain on the condition that we drove across for the Grand Prix at Jerez.

” We had seats in the Start/Finish grandstand, the sun was shining and my magical moment was when Valentino Rossi not only won the 500 class but the way he slowed down (having seen it on video afterwards, it doesn’t carry across just how slow he was at the time) and bowed his head and from that moment on, I have been hooked.

” I have since watched every Motorcycling Grand Prix (even those that were shown in the early hours on Channel 5 as I only have terrestrial TV), every WSB round and virtually every BSB round and I have dragged my husband to the only other Grand Prix we could get time off work for which was at Valencia.

” The plan next year is to attend every European round of the Grand Prix series, I follow who has signed for who and even my husband will admit to all his friends that I know more about the GPs, WSB and BSB than he does (which he seems to find embarrassing!).

For me, as Valentino Rossi crossed the finish line at Jerez it was not only a true magical moment but a real turning point in my interest of motorbikes.
