Aprilia is auctioning off Jeremy McWilliams’ 500cc GP bike – the very one he took to an unforgettable podium at the British GP in 2000.

The RSV two-stroke twin is expected to go for close to £100,000, but the new owner has to agree not to race it in a world championship, and there will be no spare parts or support provided.

The auction, which is open at www.aprilia.com until the end of September, can only be entered with a sealed bid. The factory refuses to comment on the bike’s true value.
