Car company wins ride to work award!

The year’s biggest competition to encourage more people to ride their bikes to work has been won…by a car company.

Rolls Royce & Bentley Motor Cars scooped a motorcycle park worth £1500 for getting 91 staff onto their bikes. The annual event is organised by the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCI) to raise awareness amongst corporate-types of the importance of bikes and mopeds in cutting the time lost to industry through congestion and traffic delays.

The winning boss, Brian Preece said: ” It’s ironic that a car maunfacturer should win a bike competition, but a lot of staff find motorcycles an easier way of getting to work. ”
