2002 R1 winner revealed

Alan Sapsard from Southampton was the lucky winner of the 2002 YZF-R1 competition drawn during the official dealer launch of the new bike on the evening of February 28.

More than 10,000 people entered (and you had to be at a Yamaha dealer on the night of the draw to be in with a chance of winning).

Alan said ” I can’t believe it, I’ve never won anything before – this is fantastic! ”

The 9,999 others, used a variety of other phrases to describe the moment.
