Norwegians steer a Superbike course

Things you could never imagine happening here, number 243: Government officials attend a race school and are so impressed with its teachings they draft them into their nation’s rider training programme.

But that’s exactly what’s happened in Norway. Members of the Norwegian Department of Public Roads were over in the UK, taking part in the California Superbike School at Rockingham.

They were particularly struck with the steering drills and decided, on their return, that future generations of Norwegian riders should benefit from their experience.

Andy Ibbott, the School’s European Director, told MCN: ” Obviously we’re very proud that our drills have been adopted by the Norwegian government.

” It proves our cornering techniques work in any country and in any environment. ”
