Biking fairies descend on MCN

1 of 1

As we reported two weeks ago, Sonja French and Lynn Jones are riding 3000 miles to raise funds for muscular dystrophy sufferer Amy_Louise Collins.

What we didn’t expect was that they would arrive in the MCN offices to collect our lunch money, tutus and all.

They stopped in on the homebound leg of the journey, having received a fantastic response so far. Living on hamburgers and coffee, they have managed to raise £5050 so far, but hope to raise a lot more before their journey comes to an end. They were helped by donations from all the EMAP motorcycle magazines at Media House in Peterborough, including MCN, Ride, Bike, Classic Bike and Performance Bikes

They’ll be riding a Honda CBR and Ducati Monster to Sawston in Cambridge tonight, then Cambridge to the Chelsea Bridge bike meet on Friday. On Saturday they are making a trip from the Ace Café on a toy run to the John Radcliffe hospital, before finally ending the journey via Box Hill.

If you’d like to help, but don’t see any fairies riding past, you can find out more by visiting the Amy-Louise appeal website at www.talaf.org.uk, or phoning 07973-102826
