It’s the BMF Tailender this weekend

One of the don’t miss events of the British biking calendar takes place this Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15, the BMF’s Tail End Show at the East of England Showground in Peterborough.

The Show features top bands, great entertainment and stonking bargains, but above all it’s a brilliant excuse for a weekend’s biking with your mates.

For just £7 on the door for adults (children aged 14 and under get in free) you could:*See some mega stunts with The Kangaroo Kid, Matt Coulter

*Check out the ‘high’ speed confusion of the Moped Enduro Challenge

*Watch the fastest OAPs as vintage speedway bikes rip up the Peterborough shale.

*Drink in two themed bars selling good cold beer – ‘The Watering Hole’ you won’t be surprised to learn is an Aussie-style pub, where you can catch top tribute bands like IN4XS and others. While ‘The Bike Shed’ is a back to school theme (presumably just the décor, not actually full of spotty yoofs necking cider).

If you’re a BMF member and up for a bit of camping action (read: carnage) it’s just £15 for Friday and Saturday. Pre-book on 0116-254-0666 and you’ll save yourself £2.

The gates open at 10am and close at 5pm. The East of England Showground is signposted from the A1. For more information call: 0116-254-0666 or visit: www.bmf.co.uk.

And this year the BMF is backing the Spinal Research Charity with a sponsored ride-out. Riders are asked to donate £50 to join in and as a special incentive the first 200 participants to register will gain free admission to the Show.

They’ll also be entered into a prize draw for VIP tickets to the Spanish round of the World Superbike championship in 2003 and a set of made-to measure leathers and a new lid are also up for grabs.

For more details on how you can take part in this special ride-out click on: rideout@spinal-research.org or call 01483-898786.
