MCN Spring Spectacular: Huge picture update

1 of 1

Thousands came to join the fun at Butlins for the 2003 MCN Spring Spectacular over the past three days. Now you can see all the action.

Highlights included three nights of bands, including Suzi Quatro, Alvin Stardust, Dr & The Medics, and the Po’ Boys. Once inside the camp, free events included the chance to ride a minimoto, or try a CCM Supermoto. There were dyno runs and a very popular bikini bike wash with MCN girls Deb and Oli. You could also watch the GP live, or see BSB riders John Reynolds and Steve Plater get tyre marks on their shoes, thanks to the stunt show. Reynolds, Plater and stunt driver Terry Grant were also guests on the MCN chat and quiz show on the Saturday, with Gary Mason and Simon Buckmaster appearing on the Sunday.

You also had 50 trade stands, the wall of fear, and live MotoGP coverage, repeated on Sunday afternoon.

Plus, we’ve got a full video of everyone leaving for the Saturday rideout to Cadwell Park, for free laps of the circuit.

And if you had any energy left, impromptu misbehaviour began nightly in almost every car park. Burnouts, stoppies, endless wheelies, and fancy dress kept people watching for hours.

We’ll be adding pictures and video clips throughout the week, so you can see what you missed, or check whether you were caught doing anything you shouldn’t. If you have pictures or video clips, email them to daniel.thornton@emap.com, and to comment on this story, follow the link on the right.
