Manufacturer of the Year

1 of 1

Shortlist: Ducati. Honda. KTM.

Winner: KTM

IT may not have the clout of the big manufacturers but KTM is showing the rest how to innovate and grow.

This year saw the Austrian firm unveil its Super Duke 990 and amazing RC8 superbike concept to add more strings to KTM’s bow, alongside its off-roaders.

MCN Editor Marc Potter said: ” 2003 has been so successful for KTM it really had to be our winner. Not only has it grown by 50% but it has entered road racing, coming second in the Malaysian GP, and launched a stylish, innovative road bike, too. ”

KTM UK Managing Director Kevin Burk said: ” I can’t believe it. It’s humbling to win in such prestigious company. We think it really shows KTM are up there with the Japanese. ”
