Court case for alleged 157mph speeder

A ZX-12R rider appeared in Aylesbury Magistrates Court on Tuesday May 20, accused of speeding at 157mph.

Andrew Osborne, 31, from Leamington Spa is alleged to be one of the fastest speeders in the UK, after being filmed by a speed camera on the A421 Tingewick bypass in Buckinghamshire.

Also facing charges was Neil Bolger, 31, of Gaydon, Warwickshire, who is claimed to have been travelling at 148mph on a Kawasaki ZX-7R.

Both were charged with driving at a speed in excess of 70mph and of dangerous driving.

The case was adjourned until June 17, to allow technical experts to examine video footage.
