BSA tops expectations

Winter hasn’t dulled the enthusiasm of classic bike buyers, with a 1960 BSA Gold Star DBD34 selling for £10,750 at H&H Classic Auctions sale last week.

The BSA in question has some history, having not been registered until 1967 and at one time forming part of the collection of late computer millionaire and Brands Hatch owner John Foulston.

Other classics sold on the day included a 1981 Ducati 900 Super Sport for £4837, a 1959 BSA A10 Sports for £3332, and a 1937 Velocette Mac for £3,762. Someone also picked up an ex-racer’s bike with a Yamaha Mini Moto one owned by Steve Parrish going for just £483 in Yamaha Mistsui race paintscheme.
