The first ZX-10R in the country

1 of 1

The first ZX-10R in the country has arrived at MCN. You may have seen show bikes, but this is the first living, breathing, free-revving finished production example in the UK.

And over the next few days it’s going to be given a thorough test against the current benchmark, Suzuki’s GSX-R1000. We’re going to get our first chance to ride it on British roads and to performance test it at Bruntingthorpe. We’ll also get it on the dyno to find how much power it really makes.

It’s already causing a stir here. The whole office cleared out to go and gawp… and you can read what MCN Editor Marc Potter thought of his first crack of the throttle on it, in his column in next week’s MCN (out Wednesday January 28). If you want to know why we’re making such a fuss, find out about the ZX-10R here
