Speed limits on IOM

1 of 1

Speed limits could soon be imposed on every Isle of Man road.

It would bring an end to decades of freedom on the Island that attracts thousands to the TT.

The speed limit suggestion is in a Manx Government road safety document that has been thrown open to public consultation – so you can have your say on it.

At the moment there are speed limits in towns and villages, but other roads are unrestricted.

Huge fines, penalty points and even jail sentences could be around the corner for offenders, according to the consultation document.

With an agreement expected soon that means points on your licence for offences committed on the Island, there will be no escape.

Would the new speed limits stop you from going to the Isle of Man to watch the TT?
