Fuel protests on hold

1 of 1

Many of the fuel protests planned for Wednesday June 9 will not go ahead since Chancellor Gordon Brown announced a review into a proposed rise in fuel duty.

The planned increase of 1.9p-a-litre in September prompted protest groups into action, but most have now agreed to wait until prices are decided before heading out onto the streets.

However the Cardiff protest by the Low Tax on Fuel group will still go ahead.
