Remember Hizzy at Scottish Show

Scottish racing legend Steve Hislop will be remembered at the MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show this weekend (March 13-14).

The 2003 Virgin Mobile Yamaha R1 he raced in the British superbike championship will be on show in the foyer, at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh.

And representatives of the Hislop Memorial Fund will be at the show on both days asking for donations to help pay for two bronze statues of the multiple TT and BSB winner. The statues will be erected in his home town, Hawick, and on the Isle of Man. He moved to the island after recording 11 TT victories.

Hislop died in a helicopter crash on July 30, 2003.
