Carole Nash up for prize

Carole Nash, the founder and executive chairman of bike insurance specialist Carole Nash Insurance, is one of five finalists for the 2005 Veuve Clicquot Award. The award celebrates women in business.

The winner will be announced on Thursday April 28 at London’s Claridge’s and be presented by Michael Buerk.

Carole Nash Insurance is celebrating its 20th year. It employs nearly 400 staff at its Altrincham headquarters, Dublin offices and in its motorcycle security, repair and service operations. It currently generates an annual income of over £70million.

The firm is the UK’s leading motorcycle insurance specialist and the country’s largest independent motorcycle security fitter. It is now also a major player in the classic car insurance market and is moving into mainstream car and household sectors.
