Fancy owning a slice of History? Well Bonhams auction house has got the last ever Ducati 888 to win a BSB race – as ridden by Carl Fogarty and Michael Rutter.

The full factory 1993 888 was first run by Carl Fogarty in the Northwest 200 Irish road race where he set a new lap record and won the Superbike race. It was then taken over by Michael Rutter who used it in the following two seasons of BSB and was the last person ever to win a BSB round on an 888.

The bike has been restored by John Hacket and is likely to go for as much as £35,000.

The auction will also see three Manx Nortons owned by TT legend Malcolm Uphill who was the first man to set a 100mph lap of the Mountain course.

One of the bikes is the 500cc Manx Grand Prix race winner from 1965 while another was built by Uphill in 1982. The third bike is a 350cc Norton with a Ray Petty-tuned engine.

Also on sale will be the Manx ‘Planx’ Norton, the wooden replica that was seen on display in the classics pavilion at the NEC last year, as well as a huge collection of bike leaflets and promo material for hundreds of classic bikes.
