Christmas bike runs

There’s no better time to support a charity and give a positive spin to motorcycling than the Christmas period.

Across the country there are tons of rides taking place to either raise money for charity, or deliver gifts to children. And we’re listing them all here for you to choose from, and to give you an excuse to get out on the bike.

Santa on Bikes 2005: Sunday December 18. Costumed ride-ins to Rockingham, with ten festive laps around the Rockingham Oval race circuit. Proceeds will be split between macmillan, NSPCC and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.Firms are also being encouraged to get involved. For more, click here (external site).

Cornerhouse Biker Club, Cambridge: Saturday December 10. Xmas Toy Run to Addenbrookes Hospital to Childrens wards D2 and C2. Departs at 2pm, to return at 4.30pm, with a rock band and party to follow. For information contact Mick (07939-564005) or Charlie (07812-696123).

Buggsplatz MCC 6th annual charity run: Sunday December 18. Takes place in telford, Shropshire, leaving Whylie and Hollands, Watling Street, at 12 noon, accompanied by a pick-up truck with sexy santas. return for 1pm for a raffle and auction. Contact: Debi on 07970530884.

9th annual Hamper Run: December 4. White Post Wonderland hamper run to Miners Welfare at Ollerton. Laves the White Post Wonderland at 11am. Free raffle for all, and prize for best dressed bike. Bring food for hampers. Contact: John or Sandra on 01623 861452.
