Tourers at bargain prices

1 of 1

After doing 750 miles in a day on my naked FZ6 on Tuesday, I thought I’d give you a selection of bikes slightly more suited to high mileage in this week’s bargain choice from our Bikes for Sale section.

If you want to rack up the miles there are some great options for the same sort of price as the FZ6 and some that are even cheaper. Check out the links below for the round-up or click here to do a search for exactly the bike you want.

This BMW K1100LT is looking a bit dated now but it’s only 8 years old and has hardly done any miles at 14,793 and comes with electric screen and heated grips for £4495.

At the top end of the price band you could just stretch to this 2002 Yamaha FJR1300. It’s already done 38,000 miles but you are getting a lot of bike for the money.

This fully panniered-up 2002 V-Strom is up for just £3,995 and has only covered 12,000 miles

The budget-conscious buyer could get this Triumph Sprint Executive. The 1998 bike has only covered 7400 miles so should still be in top condition.

This BMW R1200RT is much more modern looking than the LT but you’ll pay for the privilege. This 1998 bike has done 34,000 miles but is still up for £4995. It should go on well past 100k if well looked after though.

A true bargain is this Aprilia Futura. It comes with panniers and has only covered 21,000 miles in it’s 4 year life. All for £3395.

This 1998 Pan European is up for £4100 with 32,000 miles on the clock but it also comes with a whole host of extras including a touring screen and heated grips.

For a sportier and cheaper option this Honda Blackbird is up for £2900. It comes with colour-matched panniers and has only done 20,000 miles.
