Army stunt rider dies

Police are appealing for witnesses after a member of the Territorial Army’s Blue Arrows motorcycle display team died after an accident during a training exercise in Edinburgh.

The incident happened in the car park of the Royal Highland Show Ground, Ingliston, at about 1pm on Sunday (April 9), according to the BBC – click here – (external site).

The soldier was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he died.

The Show Ground is home to the annual MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show.
