Enduroafrica challenge

1 of 1

The EnduroAfrica trip involves around 100 riders travelling to South Africa to deliver 100 CTX200 motorcycles and £50,000 to support the Riders for Health charity.

It will take place in November 2006, but preparations are already well underway for the ride, which will cover 2000km of dusty and demanding riding. Moeny raised will fund the future running costs of the bikes and also support the Riders for Health programme in Zimbabwe. The Binga district in Zimbabwe is about the only place in Africa where every public health worker who needs transport is supplied with a reliable motorcycle. The effect has been a 20 per cent drop in deaths from malaria since the scheme started in 2002, compared to a rise in adjacent districts.
