Ride to Work Day 2006

1 of 1

Show how popular motorcycling is and encourage more people onto two wheels with Ride 2 Work Day 2006, which will take place on Wednesday July 19.

The day is one of the highlights of a week of events to highlight the political and social issues that affected bike riders. By getting every biker to commute to work, it custs congestion and journey times and can inspire others to make the change.

“Ride 2 Work Day is an opportunity for riders to run fun events, such as comparing journey times with car driving colleagues. Other local activites can be organised, including showing the local community how motorcycle use provides real benefits, which can help challenge preconceived ideas about motorcycling,” said Samantha Tyson-Evans from the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI) .

If you are considering running an event, the MCI would like to hear from you to promote it. A free organisers pack will be available in April. Email: Samantha@mcia.co.uk
