Cutting Corners - Bike Tour Fundraiser

1 of 1

We are four serving Royal Engineer soldiers – Major Pete Spilsbury, WO1 Richard Little, SSGT Dave Castle and LCPL Gaz Taylor – who decided it would be a great idea to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, plus some service charities.

We are therefore planning a massive challenge of circumnavigating mainland Britain.

As if this wasn’t enough, we thought it would be back-breakingly difficult if we undertook this madness on four old, in service Harley Davidson motorbikes – stopping at the four ‘corners’ of England, Scotland and Wales, which we are classing as: North Foreland – South East (Kent) John O’Groats – North East (Scotland) Scourie – North West (Scotland) Lands End – South West (Cornwall).

We plan to stick to minor roads, where possible, and will visit at least one Macmillan care home to see all the work everyone does to help everyone affected by cancer and we’ll keep a daily blogg of our trials, tribulations, fun and fundraising activies along the way.

We have given ourselves just 12 days to complete our epic tour – which is roughly 6 days up the east coast and 6 days back down the west coast, starting (and finishing) at RAF Odiham.

Check out the bike in the photo! We’re going to suffer – and that’s got to be worth at least £20 hasn’t it?

Please dig deep and sponsor us as much as you can and then a little bit more. Every penny helps Macmillan Cancer Support who dedicate their lives to helping those people in need – emotionally, physically and mentally – not only of the sufferers, but also their family and friends.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now! http://www.justgiving.com/cuttingcorners

Many thanks for your support.
