Evel Knievel fans will get the chance to feel the Knievel-like rush on a new £3.5 million Evel Knievel rollercoaster next year.

Eight Flags theme park in St Louis expect the wooden rollercoaster to be finished by next summer.

The ride will reach top speeds of up to 50mph with 80-foot, 90-degree turns, 67 degree banked corners, a peak height of 82-feet and no less than 14 crossovers. Just week’s before his unexpected death Evel said, “I’ve been thrilling people all my life with my death defying stunts, and I’ve proven after a spectacular fall that you’re never a failure as long as you try to get up.

“What better way to create a new generation of Evel Knievel fans than by partnering with Six Flags for this exciting attraction. I’m thrilled to be part of it.”
