A motorist from Holland has narrowly avoided a driving ban after colliding with and injuring a motorcyclist in October.

The biker was left with a broken leg, ribs and serious bruising after the accident in Eastbourne.

The driver, Mr Verkiel, turned right without indicating causing a head-on collision with the bike. He admitted to driving without due care and attention and had nine points added to his licence and was fined £300 plus a £35 courts cost charge.
