TT garages accused of petrol profiteering

1 of 1

With thousands of race fans flocking to the Isle of Man for the TT centenary many enterprising garages are cashing in by raising petrol prices.

Unhappy bikers have told MCN they have paid up to £1.08 per litre for standard unleaded on the Island.

Currently the price at the famous Bray Hill petrol station stands at £1.04 per litre – almost 10p more than average prices on the mainland.

A reader who arrived to the Island on Monday from Liverpool told MCN:

“It’s outrageous, they’re just being greedy because they know we can’t get petrol elsewhere. We have no choice, it’s disgusting.”
