130mph rider jailed

Police have released video of a motorcyclist fleeing at over 130mph after the rider was caught and jailed.

Christopher O’Donovan was already banned from riding when he overtook an unmarked police car at 95mph on his Kawasaki ZX-R600 and declined to stop. The 44-year-old then reached 133mph in a 26-mile chase through rural Wiltshire.

He was tracked by a police helicopter as he left the road and crossed a garden.

O’Donovan was jailed for 15 months yesterday and banned for three years after admitting dangerous driving.
