Mountain ranges, wild horses roaming valleys and abandoned mining towns are just part of a normal ride around Nevada but this year you could also take in a World Superbike round and the Bonneville Speed Week with one tour operator.

Nevada Motorcycle Adventures have released details of their 2009 tours, which are escorted rides on Suzuki DRZ400E motorcycles with one such tour taking in the World Superbike round at the Miller Motorsports Park in Salt Lake City in May.

Another tour will take in the Reno Air Races in September, which sees some aircraft getting up to speeds of 500mph, while the Nevada Burning Man festival renowned as one massive wild party will be part of another tour.

For real speed freaks a five day tour to Utah will take in the final day of the 2009 Speed Weeks at the Bonneville Salt Flats where you will see dozens of teams all trying to beat the clock and push their machines to their limits to become the fastest rider in their class.

NMA boss Matt Ernst said: “We ride some of the best off-road terrain in the World and after 18 years of guiding riders along the trails, I think 2009 is going to be our best ever year, with extra events like Superbikes and Speed Week on the schedule. There are early booking, and group discounts available too – so call us anytime, for the ride of your life!”

All NMA tours include a support truck, mechanic, satellite phones, spare parts, luggage carriage, shared lodgings, fuel and refreshments. A four-day off-road ride coasts from $1800 (£1168). The five to seven day tours including the World Superbike round, the Air Races or Missoula, Montana are around $2800 to $3495 (£1818 to $2269).
