TT spectator death inquest focuses on signage

1 of 1

The first day of an inquest into the deaths of a rider and two spectators on the final day of last year’s Isle of Man TT races has heard the spectators may have been unaware they were standing in a prohibited area.

Dean Jacob and Gregory Kenzig were killed when they were hit by the motorcycle of Marc Ramsbotham, who was fatally injured in a crash at the 26 mile marker on the Mountain section of the course.

The inquest into the deaths opened on the Isle of Man yesterday, and saw video footage of the accident that showed the spectators were standing in an off limits area.

The inquest is now trying to ascertain whether signs telling spectators to keep out were put up by the private contractors who handle signage for the event.
