In defence of the Yamaha FJR1300

Being the owner of a new fFJR1300, I disagree with some of the unfair coments you made in the group test in last week’s MCN.

Yes, the tyres are s**t, but they can be replaced with better ones ie dunlop road smarts.

The suspension is good enough for road use – I’m no slouch either being John Reynolds’ brother-in-law for the past 20 years you get to know a bit about riding.

Also my bike has not stalled once, what fueling problem do you reffer to? My mate has got the GTR and there is very little difference, if i were to fault it at all it would be to have a softer seat.
