Official Rossi replica Yamaha R1 released

If this year’s crossplane crank Yamaha R1 wasn’t already tempting enough, Yamaha has now released factory MotoGP replica versions in the liveries of reigning world MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi and team mate and Japanese GP winner Jorge Lorenzo.

The bad news, however, is that the bikes are being produced by Yamaha France, so are not available in the UK and, worse, just four examples are being made available.

Each bike faithfully replicates the Rossi and Lorenzo’s racebike colourschemes and in France will cost €19,990 (or a whopping £17,850 at current exchange rates, although that’s actually only £3800 More than the standard bike in France).
