Terminator Arnie on an electric bike?

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s days of riding Harleys might be numbered after he came face to face with Zero Motorcycle’s electric offerings.

The Hollywood star turned governor of California was said to have taken a ‘special interest’ in the Zero S when he visited the Alt Car Expo.

“We are honored that Governor Schwarzenegger took the time to learn about the innovative engineering and environmentally-friendly performance of our motorcycles,” said John Lloyd, VP of Worldwide Sales for Zero Motorcycles.

Schwarzenegger most famous bike riding scene came in Terminator 2: Judgement Day when he jumped a 1990 Harley Fat Boy in the canal in LA.

The Zero S supermoto is quite a different prospect, it uses a completely non-toxic lithium ion battery and the majority of the motorcycle is fully recyclable.

The landfill approved power pack recharges in less than four hours while plugged into a standard 110V or 220V outlet. It reaches a top speed of 55mph and will travel 50 miles between charges.
