Thieves have stolen eight brand new motocross bikes belonging to Pidcock Honda from a farm just hours after the bikes were used for the UK press launch of the 2010 model range.

Seven Honda CRF250Rs and one Honda CRF450 – all in red and white colour schemes – were taken from a farm in Derbyshire after the lorry containing them is believed to have been followed.

The break-in took place between 3am and 5am this morning and a sponsor the Mick Extance Off-Road Experience which uses the bikes is offering £5000 for information leading to the return of the bikes or a conviction of those responsible.

Pidcock’s boss Chris Pidcock said: “The bikes are all brand new and have done an afternoon of riding at the UK press launch held at Armthorpe near Doncaster. They are all 2010 models which have only been in dealers in the UK since Monday. Any that are out there being sold should be looked at very closely.”

Anyone with information can call Pidcock Honda on 0115-946-9555
