New electric-powered Ducati bicycle

This is the latest Ducati model to emerge on the scene for 2010, but instead of an 8V Desmodromic 90-degree V-twin motor this beast is powered by a 36 volt Panasonic lithium battery.

According to Motociclismo, the Italian manufacture has linked up with electric bike firm Italwin and produced this sweet town get-around electric push bike.

The bike has been unveiled at the Eurobike Show in Germany, a bicycle show that opens to the public on Saturday.

The spec sheet is pretty vague but figures included a six hour battery charge time, a top speed of 15mph with the electric motor running, a total weight of 24kg and a chassis completely made from aluminium.

No price has been announced yet.
