MCN readers help bring in Spencer replica Arai

Arai will be selling one of the two Freddie Spencer replica Arai RX7-GP designs you can buy from select Nankai dealers in Japan.

MCN started a petition back in February to get the two designs brought into the UK market after we inquired to why  the UK didn’t have the graphic option after we spotted the designs were available overseas.

And as a result, 80 per cent of you who voted said you would like a Spencer replica and now one will be available.

It will come on the RX7-GP with a structural net composite (SNC) shell with peripheral belting and enhanced hyper ridge strengthening in the lower section represents Arai’s most advance design to date.

The lid has a larger opening to make it more comfortable when putting it on and off and with the centre of gravity moved lower, the helmet sits more naturally to help reduce fatigue.

Changes to the quick release visor have increased peripheral vision while the switches on the vents are now bigger, making them easier to operate wearing gloves.

The RX-7 GP Spencer replica is available in October, priced at £589.99 in sizes XS-XXL.

Arai has also confirmed they’ve introduced the Max Vision visor which was first shown at the NEC Show last year.
