Skidmarx launch GSX-R1000K7/K8 double bubble

1 of 2

Current British Superstock Champion Alistair Seeley has used Skidmarx race screens throughout his successful 2009 campaign on the Relentless Suzuki GSX-R1000.

Now owners of K7 and K8 model 1000cc Suzukis can benefit from this race-derived technology with the release of a double bubble screen for their machines.

Manufactured by Skidmarx in their UK factory using 3mm acrylic, the double bubble screens are designed to replace the original item using the existing mounting points and fasteners.

Like the racing screens, double bubbles are shaped to enhance the aerodynamics of the bike and increase the air pocket behind the screen, giving the rider greater protection from buffeting at high speed.

Available in clear, light or dark tint at £49.95, while coloured versions can be ordered too (for a £6 surcharge). Prices for replacement standard screens start at £39.95 for clear, light or dark tint.

Skidmarx have also produced a rear hugger for the GSX-R1000 K7/K8 that replaces the smaller original item, providing enhanced under-body, shock and linkage protection.

Manufactured in the UK from GRP glass fibre, it weighs approximately 500 grams and is supplied with fittings that attach to existing mounting points for ease of installation.

Available in black gloss finish it retails for £69.95 and there is also carbon fibre option, at approximately half the weight of GRP, costing £119.95.
