New super-Dremel on sale next month!

1 of 2

Those of you who were eying up that unfinished autumn project in the garage and thinking: “If only I had this tool or that…” can rejoice. Next month sees the launch of the new Dremel 8200.

“It’s compatible with all 150 Dremel accessories and attachments and can be used to grind, polish, carve, cut, sharpen and sand a wide variety of materials.

The Li-ion battery is claimed to be 25% smaller and 15% lighter than on previous models and it charges in just one hour and holds its charge for up to two years.

The 8200 also comes with a motor brake which ensures the accessory stops spinning the second the tool is switched off.

It also comes with a separate on/off switch, collet lock-out function, soft grip and LED gauge to show the battery status. A slide switch allows full variable speed control between 5000 and 30,000rpm.

There will be two different versions:

The Dremel 8200-1/35 (£99.99) contains the new tool, a one-hour charger, a Detailer’s Grip attachment and 35 other accessories (including the fast-change SpeedClic)

The Dremel 8200-2/45 (£119.99) comes with 45 accessories plus a Line & Circle cutter attachment and a Shaping Platform attachment.
