British GP star Bradley Smith – the most successful British GP racer since Barry Sheene – spent hours signing autographs at the Carole Nash MCN Show in London before he heads off to California tomorrow.

Smith was signing posters and chatting to fans on the Aprilia stand and said: “I’m off to California tomorrow, otherwise I would have been here then too.

“The trip is mostly for training, but I’m also meeting up with the Hayden brothers (ex-MotoGP champion Nicky and US superbike star Tommy) and going to see an AMA supercross round.

“I’m also going to see a NASCAR race with Randy [Mamola] and Dakota [his son, who will be racing in the British 125 championship this year]”.

The Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle Show continues through to Sunday at the Excel Centre in London.
