MCN Show: S1000RR Dreams do come true

MCN is pleased to announce Peter Barden as winner of MCN’s competition to win a stunning new BMW S1000RR. Barden, 31, from East Yorks, looked to be the happiest man on the planet when MCN’s Editor Marc Potter handed over the keys to his prize on the opening day of the Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle Show (4-2-2010).

Barden was still smiling when he told MCN: ‘When I took the call to say I had won, I didn’t believe the lady. But she gave me her number to call back, and after going through a switchboard it suddenly dawned on me I had. I still can’t believe it.’

Until he learnt he had won the BMW S1000RR, Barden was bike-less and contemplating how he could finance a new bike. He also revealed his biking experience was limited, starting out on a Yamaha SR125cc, with his last blast on a borrowed Yamaha R6.

Because of his age and insufficient NCD, Barden was worried about high insurance premium, but managed to secure a good deal by using MCN Compare insurance comparison scheme.

The Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle Show is at the London Excel and runs until 7th February 2010.
