Foggy to launch Carl Fogarty carbon Ducati parts range

Four-time World Superbike champ Carl Fogarty is set to launch a range of high-end carbon parts to rival Ducati’s own Ducati Performance range.

The Carl Fogarty Carbon Range will start with a full ‘pre-preg carbon’ road fairing for 1098/1198 models costing around £3000, and is planned to extend to other parts and the Monster range.

The 1098/1198 fairing uses the most expensive materials and production methods to achieve results the manufacturer says far out-perform typical aftermarket carbon parts for weight and strength.

Carbon specialists 666 Road Racing are producing the fairings using carbon/kevlar composite pre-impregnated with epoxy resin and forged in a high-temperature autoclave.

The process ensures the panels achieve minimum weight and hardness without the brittleness and inconsistencies of cheaper wet-laid, gel-coated carbon parts.

666 Road Racing supplies race teams including Parkalgar Honda, Tas Suzuki and Airwaves Yamaha (pictured) whose BSB-winning R1 featured 24 carbon parts including a structural carbon seat unit.

The firm’s co-owner Nick Potts says: “Foggy’s name and his eyes will be lacquered into the panels and there will be lots of windows in the paintwork to show the carbon weave. It really will be the ultimate in terms of quality”.

Kits will bolt straight on to road-going 1098/1198s and will be available in red, white and yellow options in early summer.
