Guy Martin rides again at Goodwood and races on Tuesday!

Just three weeks after this horrific TT crash, Guy Martin is to ride again, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Saturday.

A source close to the charismatic Honda rider has been with him today and had this to say: “There’s not a scratch on him! He says every day of the first week following the accident he got worse, but now he’s getting better every day.

“‘I’m like a new ’un boss’ he told me’. Definitely well enough to ride some old bikes up the hill anyway.”

Unbelievably Martin had wanted to ride at the Skerries road races in Ireland this weekend before doctors told him another crash so soon after the first – in which he suffered fractured vertebrae and bruised both lungs – could kill him.

Even so, the Kirmington rider is determined to race a GSX-R1000 in the Hill Climb Challenge at Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough on Tuesday (6 July).
