The Royal Enfield factory has announced plans to double production due to ‘strong demand’.

Following the release of the new Battle Green Bullet Classic, the Royal Enfield factory claim they plan to double their production with progressive increases over the next three years.

To ‘allow the brand to continue to keep pace with the brisk sales of its new model line’, the firm’s output is forecast to grow from 52,000 motorcycles this year, to 70,000 next year.

This is forecast to grow to 90,000 in 2012 before hitting over 100,000 motorcycles in 2013.

To put it into context, Triumph’s production figures were 46,000 units for the last 12 months.
