New iPhone app detects speed cameras

1 of 1

A new application for the iPhone, CamerAlert, is a self-contained camera warning system that uses data from the PocketGPSWorld.com Speed Camera Database.

It provides both audible and visual warnings as you approach a camera. And if you are on a stretch of road with SPECs (average speed) cameras, it displays your average speed between each camera in the zone.

It costs just 59p, but further subscription charges to apply in order to get the most up-to-date database information.

More info: see the iTunes store.
